The evaluation and description of the weapons by JSE are carried out without the aid of technical aids and under the value of the auction object appropriate and reasonable effort. The technical function of the weapon (especially lock, trigger, safety) will be checked by hand and its external condition will be evaluated by visual inspection. The shooting ability and shooting precision is not checked by JSE within the scope of the description and can also not be requested by a prospective buyer. In the event that detailed descriptions are not included in the text of the catalog about the items to be auctioned, the following unified condition descriptions apply, this regardless of whether the item is an antique or modern firearm.

1 - brand-new/mint condition
2 - near mint/very little used
3 - normally used
4 - heavily used
5 - worn/defective
