71 cm barrels renewed by Jeffery & Sons - Dorchester, concave rib, choked 1/8 & 3/8, extractor, bright rounded action, rose- and scroll engraving, leg-of-mutton shaped back-action sidelocks, presumably without intercepting sears, side lever opener on the right, automatic sliding tang safety with gold inlaid "Safe", double trigger with blue tempered blades, straight grained walnut stock, straight hand, chequered butt 36,5 cm, fore-end with Deeley latch, 3 kg. year of manufacture 1886, valid London reproof 1976, quite early hammerless sidelock, pedecessor of the Dominion model, presumably made with defunct Damascus barrels, in fully servicable condition 3.
