15.5 cm barrels, fluted ribs, on top inscribed "Charles Lancaster (Patent), 151 New Bond St., London", oval bores, nickel silver front sight, express sight, colour hardened action, top barrel lumps with opening lever on the left for the thumb of the right hand, rebounding extractor, double-action only trigger, clockwise rotating firing pin, fluted bird's head grip, walnut grips, chequering, lanyard ring eye, initials "G. G.W.C. above R.A", London black powder proof, year of manufacture 1900, in a contemporary leather holster with four cartridge compartments. condition II-III.
One of only 245 pistols made in this calibre. From the estate of George Gowan Wyatt Corrie (*23.09.1872), Lieutenant-Colonel of the Royal Artillery, used in the Second Boer War 1901-1902, since then in family possession.
