Roth-Sauer, 7,65 mm Roth-Sauer, #A378, § B

Starting price 2.000 EUR
not sold

Rare, archaic self-loading pistol with long barrel recoil and locked bolt despite the weak cartridge. Licensed production by Sauer & Sohn in Suhl according to a patent of the Viennese company G. Roth AG. See MÖTZ /SCHUY, Vom Ursprung der Selbstladepistole p. 583ff. Our specimen has a heavily worn original finish and dents on the left and right of the front receiver. Inscription on top "J.P.Sauer & Sohn, Suhl" as well as "PATENT ROTH", the Sauer logo on top at the rear of the receiver and on both hard rubber grip panels. Small crack in left and broken out corner on right grip panel. No valid proof - rare collector's item. Only about 3,000 were made around 1905.
