71 cm barrels with file-cut rib and express sights with 2 additional folding leaves, silver coloured action with typical bold scroll engraving, acanthus-leaf carved fences, dipped edge lockplates, bar-action sidelocks with intercepting sears, disc-set strikers, double triggers, sliding tang safety with stalking safety, straight grained walnut stock with drop points, swept-back pistol grip, leather covered rubber recoil pad 37,5 cm, fore-end with lever fastener, blank silver stock oval, sling loops removed, German claw mount bases on rib, otherwise very nice original condition, 5,2 kg, year of manufacture 1910, in a leather case with modern maker's trade label, condition II-III. Legendary luxury big game rifle for the at this time newly developed cartridge, replacing the Rigby-own .450 NE wich became outlawed for political reasons, becoming the most popular double rifle cartridge for dangerous game until today.
