70 cm Damascus Barrels, afterwards un-professionally browned, iron sights with additional folding leaf, makers name inlaid in gold, non-rebounding back-action hammerlocks with French pinfire-style opening lever in front of the trigger guard, early center-fire arm, wedge-fastener. Etched and engraved with foliate scroll surrounded by game scenes of a gundog with woodcock, fox with woodcock, as well as pheasants and black grouse. Silver inlaid initial "V" on the tang. Locks signed with makers name "KallZKI (sic!) IN WIEN" with gold ribbon inlaid breech ends and tang. Walnut stock with horn finger rest, year of manufacture before 1870, without proof marks. As well Anton Mulacz as well as Johann Kalezky (sic) were purveyors to Austrian Imperial court, how it occurred that both names appear on the same arm is questionable, refurbished to condition III.
