65 cm swamped octagonal barrel, inscribed "Joseph Keilwerth", presumably the owner,7 deep riflings, brass sights with additional folding leaf, flat lock presumably adapted from flintlock signed "Jos. Voges", engraved with idyllic scene in front of a castle, brass counterplate engraved with hunting scenes, relief chiselled, about 1750, needle set trigger, walnut stock with numerous, partially engraved inlays of bone, brass fittings engraved with cherub and hound, stock in the style of a German wheellock rifle, fitting for an aperture sight on tang, the sight missing, patchbox with sliding cover engraved with a hare, original ramrod with bone tip, year of manufacture around 1750, adapted presumably after 1840, stock with some splinters missing, bright barrel with numerous spots and pits, some screws unprofessionally replaced, therefore IV.
