Borovnik Borovlje", automatic folding rear sight and additional folding leaf, choked full & full, extractor, Greener crossbolt, side clips, originally colour hardened action with traces of colour inside, rebounding back-action hammer locks, engraved with bas relief foliate scroll surrounding shaded game scenes, roe deer and partridges on the left, red deer and capercailzie on the right, a drake mallard on the trigger guard, en-suite engraved stock magazine for 4 rifle cartridges with a hare on the sprung lid, barrel selector slide with push-button on the tang, double trigger with single set trigger in front, walnut stock with Prince of Wales grip, very fine chequering, oval cheekpiece, horn buttplate 34,5 cm, fore-end with Deeley latch, sling swivels, year of manufacture 1931, obsolete proof, a piece of wood cracked off the stock toe (cracked off piece included), otherwise very well preserved work of the renowned Ferlach maker of fine luxury arms with its original type of inscription, a fully functional collector's piece condition 3.
