73,5 cm bright brushed barrels of rose Damascus with flat rib, gold inlaid maker's name, snap action with single bolted lump, back-action hammer locks, inscribed with maker's name, bright rounded action with fine foliate sroll engraving, panels with pheasants, roe buck before a hound on the left, woodcock and dogs on the right, lapwing on the underlver beneath the trigger guard, on the tang a huntsman in contemporary attire, alle strewn with gold and silver inlaid details and a blank silver inlaid oval on the hand, flat dolphin-shaped hammers with automatically working sears activated by the underlever (the gun can be opened with one hand), double triggers, walnut stock with straight hand, chequering and curved cheekpiece, carved horn finger rest, en-suite engraved steel buttplate with patridges, 36 cm, short fore-end with wedge fastener, late work of Matthias Mach (1814-1881) around 1865, barrels very slightly pitted, therefore condition II.
