52 cm shallow blued octagonal barrel, slightly swamped, on the top silver inlaid maker‘s name and scroll on the breech, deep rifling, dovetailed brass front sight, sights with additional folding leaf, flat bent lockplate, engraved with contemporary hunts men and boar, rocaille shaped hammer with scroll, single set trigger, walnut full stock, rocaille carved, squared cheekpiece, wooden trigger guard fortified with brass, brass furniture, counterplate engraved with Liechtenstein castle, buttplate engraved with an effigy, patchbox with sliding cover, engraved with huntsman and stag, ramrod with brass tip, total length 88 cm, year of manufacture between 1710 and 1738, inexpertly restored (brass patina removed), otherwise condition III. On tang brass inlaid coat of arms of the house of Liechtenstein beneath a prince‘s crown, Joseph Hamerl, 1678 to 1738, originally from Wolfratshausen, became master gunsmith and Imperial gun loader in Vienna in 1710.
