Engine-turned rib, fixed sight, 3 (!) ejectors, double-rifled Drilling marked "Rep. H. Scheiring Ferlach" on barrel bundle, bright bascule and side plates engraved with lightly shaded ornamental arabesques, reinforced fences, Greener crossbolt, manual cocking slide on butt neck for third lock, safety slide to left of tang, double trigger with set trigger in front blade, finger hook, stock of well grained walnut, fine checkering, Wundhammer grip, cravat, fore-end with Deeley latch, ca. 0,5 x 1,5 cm wood broken off at stock joint (without loss of function), rubber recoil pad, German claw mount with scope Zeiss Diavari-ZM 1,5 - 6 x 42, reticle 8, in a matching leather case.
The gunsmith's shop now known as Jakob Koschat was founded in 1816 by gunsmith Matheus Winkler. In 1908 Jakob Koschat married into the business and after his death later continued it under his own name. The specialty in later years became hammer rifles as well as noble sidelock weapons.
