Made of Sir Joseph Whitworth Fluid Pressed Steel.“, plus marked „1“ for the possible number 1 of a former pair, barrel ends with edge engraving, ejectors, firing pins inserted from the front, Purdey self-opening system, receiver with color hardening, action and lock plates extensively engraved with arabesques and rose bouquets, side locks with cocking indicator, spring and catch rods present, lever and extended trigger guard dark blued, automatic slide tang safety, “Safe” inlaid in gold, double trigger, dark and intensely grained stock wood, forend with Anson release and fine checkering, straight buttstock, drops, fine checkering, monogram plate “KG”, extended butt plate probably made of horn. Beautifully preserved classic English luxury shotgun in the typical rose and scroll style.
