Detail

Marked on receiver "C.G.HAENEL SUHL 1907". In 1907 Haenel in Suhl manufactured a small lot of "K88" in 7x57 Mauser caliber. The genuine manufacturing for the German Armies in 8x57 caliber was cancelled in 1892! Very possibly these carbines in 7x57 were amde for export but we do not know which countrs was the customer... May be for Latin America. Gothic acceptance letters with crown on rhs plus "star above H", all numbers matching, very good bore, no proof. Partly spotted original finish, condition III. Rare item!
