12,5 cm octagonal barrel, signed on the left of frame "W. TRANTER PATENT", five shot cylinder, on top of barrel inscribed with the maker's address, elaborately engraved with foliate scroll and worn full-coverage gilding, springs and trigger blade blue tempered, ivory grip, on the exchangeable cylinder for central-fire cartridges the serial number, in a case of ebonised wood profusely decorated with brass furniture in Indian style, lined with red velvet, with various accessories: powderr flask (signed "W. Bartram"), bullet mould, bullet seating lever, ramrod (also to be used as cleaning rod), nipple key with ivory handle, boxes for caps and nipples, patch punch, 2 old paper cartridges by Eley, as well as the key for the case, on the inside gold embossed with the maker's address, year of manufacture about 1870, R. B. Rodda was renowned as purveyor of the Indian maharajas, condition III.
