Hofbüchsenmacher Albert Staehle in Wien", gold inlaid numbers at the breech "1" and "2", bright polished furniture of steel engraved with foliate scroll, blue tempered frront sight, rear sight elevation adjustable by a key, baraction percussion lock, signed with the maker's name, counter lock pin with brass washer, single set trigger, trigger guard with finger rest, walnut half stock, cannelured grip, en-suite engraved grip cap with acorn, fore-end tip carved with foliate scroll, barrel fixed with a wedge, total length 39 cm, 875 g, in a recently made walnut case with accessories, French fitted, made before 1867, the last recorded year of manufacture of this renowned gunmaker holding the warrant of the Imperial Royal court of Austria, restored to condition 2.
