13 cm octagonal smooth barrel of browned wrought Damascus, gold wire inlaid breech end and “London” on top, silver dovetailed front sight, engraved tailend with integral rear sight, silver plug, flat lockplate with bridled frizzen spring, delicately engraved with symbols of travel, serpentine hammer with sliding safety lever, walnut full stock with classic London grip with fine chequering, walnut ramrod with brass tip held by two steel pipes, steel trigger guard with pineapple ferule end, barrel held in place by silver bound wedge, blank silver shield for initials on tang. made about 1850, best quality gun in respectable condition II-III.
