90 cm round smooth barrel of patinated steel, breech end engraved with conifer foliage, multiply cannelured with silver inlaid edges, silver front sight, flintlock in French style, engraved with flowers and gold inlaid inscribed with the maker's name "Ivan Permjak" in Cyrillic, walnut-full stock, tang carved with ribbons, surrounding a silver inlaid initial "S", carved trigger guard of horn with finger rest, counter-lock bushings of horn, in the sloping cheekpiece on the left a horn framed panel of carved bone engraved with St. Hubert and the stag, behind that a carving of a gundog with ducks, engraved brass buttplate, 2 horn pipes, walnut ramrod with horn tip, sling swivel and button, year of manufacture about 1760, Ivan Permjak is listed acc.ording to Stoeckel in St. Petersburg between 1750 and 1785, he became very famous as Imperial Russian warrant holder of Tsar Peter III. and tsarina Catharine the Great, condition III-IV.
