7,5 "octagonal barrel, year of manufacture 1854. on top of barrel typically inscribed "ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW YORK CITY", left on the frame "COLT'S PATENT", frame nickel plated, matching numbered, number stated 4 times, on barrel, on frame and twice on grip frame, smooth walnut grips, typical but shallow engraving with a maritime scene on the cylinder, good, spotted condition with about 50% original finish, possibly reworked in the early past, in an old but not contemporary Colt wooden case (veneered), lined with red velvet, including the key, the "C" of "Colt" which became undone from the lid and the broken lanyard ring, all in all interesting set for collectors, condition III.
