78 cm barrels of bright horseshoe Damascus, octagonal up to the fore-end tip, round up to the muzzle, breech ends inlaid with gold ribbons, soldered silver coloured front sight, gold-washed flash-holes, flintlocks in French style, stepped lock-plates, slightly engraved with a flower, batteries nicely filed, rocaille-shaped cocks, behind the tail-pin a carved dog's head, behind that on tang a silver inlaid plate engraved with "La fabrique reconnaissante" grained walnut half-stock, furniture of iron, trigger guard "decorated" with easily removable gold varnish, drop points, carving of foliate scroll and red deer around the oval cheekpiece, behind that silver wire inlaid ornaments, engraved steel buttplate, 3 pipes for the renewed ramrod, sling swivel and button, fine work in French rococo style, year of manufacture about 1750, slight crack behind the left and somewhat longer behind the right lockplate, condition II-III.
