71 cm barrels, extractor, front sight with folding night bead, file-cut rib inscribed with maker's address "39 Cory Street, Bristol", express sights with 2 additional folding leaves, inscribed "100, 200, 300" yards, doll's head with third grip, Anson & Deeley boxlock, bright French grey action, engraved with bold scroll, disc-set strikers, automatic sliding tang safety with gold inlaid "Safe", double triggers, trigger guard elongated to the steel-pistol grip cap, straight grained walnut stock, the pistol grip area strengthened by two sheet steel plates type "Selous" held by screws with matched slot heads, fore-end with lever fastener, oval cheekpiece, blank silver stock oval, rubber recoil pad 37,5 cm, sling swive eye on the buttstock and a modern sling swivel on the barrels, year of manufacture about 1910, originally made as .450 NE, London re-proof for 500 gr bullets max., in an oak and leather case with accessories, amongst them an ivory striker box holding two spare strikers, chequering heavily rubbed, otherwise technically flawless, condition 3.
