75 cm barrels of twist Damascus, concave rib gold inlaid "H. Barella Kaiserl: Deutscher Kaiserl. Russischer Hofbüchsenmacher Berlin" (Purveyor to the German Imperial and Russian Imperial Court), bores a little pitted, breeches with gold inlaid oakleaf, rounded action, single bolt with underlever beneath the trigger guard, full-coverage chiselled foliate scroll, back-action hammer locks, rebounding C- shaped hammers, double triggers, walnut stock, tapered cheekpiece, pistol grip, steel buttplate, 36 cm, sling swivels, fore-end with lever fastener, year of manufacture about 1880, Belgian provisional proof signed "C. Bernard", all four stock horns cracked off, former luxury class arm of the renowned maker, condition IV-V.
