74 cm barrels of blued twist Damascus, flat rib inscribed "Joh. Springer's Erben K.K. Kammer rifle Lieferanten in Wien" and gold inlaid "2", colour hardened rounded action, T-bolt action with long underlever beneath the fore-end, back-action hammer locks, dolphin-shaped hammers with hare's ear spurs, fore-end with push button beneath the underlever, all engraved with fine scroll, on tang gold inlaid monogram beneath a prince's crown, beneath that "1880", double triggers, carved horn finger rest (damaged), walnut stock, steel buttplate 35 cm, in a later added hard leather leg-of-mutton case (lid in need of repair), year of manufacture 1880, from the estate of the late Prince Furstenberg, bores sound, inexpertly glued cracked hand, otherwise restored to condition III.
