Adapted from a Russian Berdan II infantry rifle: rebarelled 80 cm, bore in very good condition, stepped rear sight, the massive round breech similar to the later Mosin-Nagant action, bolt adapted with new bolt handle, matching numbered, old Belgian proof, Russian stamp on right buttstock with "1888". cleaning rod, octagonal receiver marked "1879". very fine original condition II.
