Lot: 3507

Austrian Empire, cavalry pistol M. 1851 with lanyard ring, type Augustin, § unrestricted

Starting price 400 EUR
Result:
400 EUR

25 cm long, smooth bore, cal. 17.2 mm, the barrel indistinctly stamped, lockplate stamped 845*), brass fittings, iron parts fine-grained, condition II-III. See Erich Gabriel, Cat. No. 149. *) This"1845" stamp on the lock plate is suspect, as it is made with modern strike numbers without serifs. This suggests that the weapon was assembled using various parts and incorrectly stamped.
