Early breech loader patent Snider, by a hinged breech block presumably adapted from a muzzle loader barrel, 65 octagonal barrel of twist damascus, engraved on top with the maker's address, rear sight with two additional folding leaves for 100 and 200 yards, breech block hinged on the right hand side inscribed "Snider Patent", bar-action hammer lock with scroll engraving, chequered walnut half-stock with straight hand, steel buttplate, LOP 36 cm, buffalo horn tip on fore-end, silver stock escutcheon, weight 2,4 kg, made around 1870, no visible proof, rare sporterised version of the Snider patent, condition III.
