76 cm Damascus barrels with concave rib with maker's address "26 Hanover Street Edinburgh and Perth", choke cyl and 1/4, ejectors, trigger plate action with vine leaf arabesque engraving, automatic lever safety on the extended target, exquisitely grained stock with straight grip, Bakelite butt plate 36,5 cm, forearm with Anson push-rod, barrel and upper lever inscribed with gold "1" and "2", blank gold stock monogram plate, year of manufacture between 1905 and 1909 corresponding to barrel address, re-firing 1954, condition 2, in a leather covered oak case with maker's label, buffer cartridges and oil bottle. James MacNaughton patented these unique trigger plate locks back in 1879, his neighbor John Dickson later developed the famous "Dickson Round Action" from them. Today, both names are under the same roof in Edinburgh as "Dickson & MacNaughton".
