Barrel length 51 cm (20") , stock length 37 cm (14.5"), overall length 103 cm (40.5"), weight 4.0 kg, year of manufacture 2017, Austrian proof, condition 1-2.
Barrel gold inlaid with "Karl Hauptmann - Ferlach", fixed sights with gold thread as aiming aid, single-stage trigger, counter-rotating slide safety on the right, butter-knife shaped bolt handle, bolt, bolt handle, magazine cover color case hardened and engraved with arabesques, on magazine cover with vignette of a stately stag, select walnut stock with fine checkering, running cheek piece and rubber butt plate, Prince of Wales grip with iron cap, color case hardened and inlaid with gold initials, sling swivel lugs, matching engraved swivel mount with Leica sight 2.5 - 10 x 42i, reticle 4, with red illuminated dot.
Karl Hauptmann takes an Austrian legend and completely reinterprets it: the noble stock wood, the new safety, a new barrel in a contemporary caliber, a swivel mount, the uniqueness of a Ferlach one-off production combined with the traditional drum magazine including rapid emptying, the possibility of quasi-silent reloading, the smoothness in operation and the elegance in the lines of probably the most famous rifle from Austria.
