Stainless steel finish, ramp front sight with red inlay, textured top of barrel rail, frame and sights, height and side adjustable rear sight, unfluted barrel, wide trigger and hammer, single and double action trigger, wooden grip panels with finger grooves and inlaid emblem, with plastic case.
Smith & Wesson Corporation (S&W) is a firearms company based in Springfield, Massachusetts. The company was founded in 1852 by the business partners Horace Smith and Daniel Baird Wesson and was soon successful above all in the sector of revolver technology and production. In the second half of the 19th century, the first exports were made, for example to Russia. The company experienced a further boom during the First World War, when it had to make up for shortages of handguns for the U.S. armed forces and their allies. Many revolver calibers known today were developed by S&W, such as the .38 S&W or .357 Magnum caliber. Pistols, rifles and other handguns complete the manufacturing portfolio. Today, S&W is North America's largest manufacturer of handguns.
