Peter (previously Anton) Mischitz came from a family of gunsmiths from Ferlach. Only later he used the name of his father Peter Mischitz instead of his birth name. Although the name Mischitz appears more often in Ferlach, at the same time in the same time and the same environment, there is still no close relationship to, for example, Josef/Martin Mischitz. All the closer is the relationship to the house of Fanzoj (parents-in-law/grandparents). The manufacturer of hunting weapons typical for the region was also a member of the cooperative of gunsmiths in Ferlach and at times on the board. With Peter (son) also ended the whole history of all gunsmiths Mischitz. At his death in 1967, he was already the last to manufacture hunting weapons under these names.
