If the origins of the house go back to the year 1770, the productions are mainly from the middle of the 19th century in the focus of consideration as gunsmiths. The two partners Benjamin Cogswell and Edward Harrison were responsible for the name entry in 1860 as Cogswell & Harrison, which is still known today. In the decades to come, they manufactured both hunting and military weapons. In their heyday, they even opened stores in prominent locations such as London's West End, New Bond Street and Paris. Cogswell & Harrison has been managed in various ways and by numerous owners throughout the company's long history. Since 1993, only the best quality has been produced, the division of simple shotguns has been abandoned, such as the Woodward o/u shotguns, the Regency /Victoria boxlocks and stunning Beesley sidelock shotguns. Finally, in 2012, the 3rd Millennium Gun was created, the first shotgun manufactured in this millennium.
