The Belgian Henri-Leon Nagant designed a gas-tight revolver in the early 1890s, which was introduced by Russia in 1895 as an ordnance weapon. The present example is a rare original civilian production from Nagant's factory in Liege. Except for imperceptible rust spots on the left side of the barrel in nice original condition with blue annealed small parts and schafer checkering of the grip panels.
