Unscrewable barrel, front sight with hinged night sight, express sight with 2 additional hinged rear sight blades, Mauser system case with small case head, engraved with marginal engraving and small arabesques, thumbhole, Swedish style lock with reduced sash safety, locking cocking device, flat bolt handle with faceted ball, modified magazine inscribed "FITTED WITH EDWARD'S PATENT MAGAZINE", left side cut off lever on it, double set trigger, disassembly screw on left side of case head, forend removable with Deeley catch, disassembly function blocked by later inserted mounting bases (stock must be removed for disassembly), walnut stock, pistol grip, oval cheek piece, horn stock cap, sling lugs.
