Barrel length 10 cm (4"), overall lenght 22 cm (8,7"), weight 0,89 kg, year of manufacture 1917, condition 2-3.
Acceptances in Gothic letters on the right, matching numbers as far as can be seen, good barrel, folding magazine with wooden base without number, bolt catch does not hold with this magazine.
Collector's gun without (valid) proof, transferred for storage due to its art or collectible value.
The legendary "Pistole 08" was introduced in the German Army in 1908 and produced by the Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) with other Parabellum variants until about 1930 in the edition of about one million pieces. It was replaced as the German ordnance pistol only in 1941 by the Walther P38.
