An extraordinary system, which was copied in slightly modified form by other manufacturers such as TOZ.
The action, patented by Johann Michelitsch in 1971 and approved in 1974, is based on a quarter-circle shaped rail that guides the barrels when the rifle is broken. When the flap attached to the fore-end is opened, the gun is also disassembled at the same way as breaking and is just as easy to reassemble. The wedge-shaped breech blocks on the side, together with the two breech hooks/noses, provide a safe and easy-to-use system, while at the same time providing a very solid and positive connection, as used in Woodward systems.
Johann Michelitsch was a hunting rifle manufacturer based in Ferlach and a member of the local gunsmiths' cooperative. He produced traditional hunting rifles, but optimized them with his own technology. He developed his own patented locking system for break-barrel guns, which allows the barrel to be removed without removing the forearm. At the same time, this system locks extremely reliably. The business was terminated without succession.
