Barrels with dovetail joint, smooth concave rib, brass front sight, extractor, breakaway forend, bascule decorated with arabesques, proof from London as well as a later one from Birmingham, inside marked G&P Patent No 4641 noted inside, firing pins removable from front, right side opening lever, doll head with third tumbler, sliding tang saftey, double trigger, straight walnut stock, monogram plate unrecognizable, fine chequering, cut stock end with metal protective caps on top and bottom.
Interesting shotgun by the Edinburgh gun makers, who were among the best Scottish makers and stood out from
the competition at the
time, especially in the drop block and side opening lever. The brand was revived only recently a few years ago by John Dickson & Son - collectors get here the chance to buy an original from their own factory production before 1930.
