Pistol Kongsberg Mod. 1914 cal. 45 Auto #18937 § B + ACC

Starting price 600 EUR

Barrel length 12.5 cm (5“), total length 21.6 cm (8.5“), weight 1.1 kg, built in 1928, without proof, condition 2-3. Matching numbers as far as can be seen, although it is noteworthy that the Norwegians also stamped the final number on various small parts such as the hammer, trigger and safety lever. Norway introduced the Colt M1911 pistol in 1914, manufactured at the Kongsberg arms factory under license from FN (which held the Browning patents). Mind you, in the version of the US M1911 pistol, not in the M1911A1 version, which was improved in the USA in 1927. For example, the striker spring housing located backwards at the bottom of the handle is straight and not bulbous. Some details are originally Norwegian, such as the differently shaped slide catch. There is an original Norwegian pistol holster included. Collector‘s weapon without (valid) proof, provided for storage due to its art or collector‘s value. Excellent original condition.
