Octagonal barrel with transition to round barrel, barrels engraved in gold with „F. v. Dreyse - Sömmerda u. Berlin“, bead front sight, matted wide rail with open sights and mounting bases for optics, mounted on it via claw mount Swarovski Habicht 1.25-4x24 rifle scope, extractor, firing pins inserted from the rear, locked doll‘s head, technically interessting solution from Dreyse with probable trigger plate lock, unusual in that the cocking function is carried out by a lever driven by the rear barrel hook, correspondingly differently shaped double barrel hooks that ensure both locking and cocking function (when disassembling/assembling these are first placed horizontally and then rotated), almost completely Receiver embedded in wood with, all around decorated with arabesque engravings, continued on all system parts, edge-shaped scalloping, trigger guard safety which must be additionally locked by a sliding lever, double trigger, both triggers with set trigger, sling lugs, stock bed with fine checkering that extends to just in front of the barrel flanks, forend with Deeley release, buttstock with semi-pistol grip, oval cheek piece and rubber butt plate. English proof stamp for .450 3.25“ Cordite 45-365 as well as the „No English Make“ marking for a weapon manufactured outside Great Britain. Exceptionally beautifully restored hunting weapon with a modern look. Great design in the bar-in-wood style also known as a „skeleton“ like the legendary Dickson/MacNaughton shotguns. An absolute must for system collectors and lovers of elegant hunting weapons.
