Bore in mint condition, barrels made of Böhler special steel, engraved with „Joh. Springer‘s Erben Wien Rifle Manufacturers Vienna“, various old calibers and proof marks on the underside of the barrel, sling eyelet without swivel on the barrel, ramp front sight and fixed rear sight, engine-turned quarter rib, Purdey nose, extractor, claw mount, Hensoldt Wetzlar Diatal 4x32 riflescope, on the inside of the receiver there are references to the same several proofs with the oldest from 1913, receiver, decorative side plates and trigger guard colored hardened and engraved with arabesques and floral bouquets, on the side plates engraved „Joh. Springer‘s Erben Vienna“ and „K. u. K. Hof u. Kammerlieferanten“ on the trigger guard there is an engraving with the serial number „10061“, automatic slide tang safety, German set trigger, forend with checkering and Anson release, box lock (Anson-Deeley Boxlock), buttstock with oval cheekpiece, pistol grip with checkered skin, sling eyelet, butt plate made of horn. Reworked barrels and new proofs in 1960 and 1980. Caliber stamped 7.57R and 8x57IS, but the chamber is intended for a rimmed cartridge - so there is probably a stamping error and correctly meant the cartridge 8X57IRS. In the records of Joh. Springer‘s heirs originally issued in 1913, as a Hammerless Doppelstutzen in caliber 10.75 for Prince August Leopold Coburg Saxe Gotha.
