Sidelock-s/s shotgun made in Belgium - Ferlacher revision cal. 12/70 #240868 § C

Starting price 500 EUR

Barrel length 71 cm (28“), stock length 38 cm (15“), total length 115 cm (45.5“), choke full & full (F & F), weight 3.2 kg, built before 1968, Belgian and Austrian proof , condition 3. Metal front sight, concave matted rib, ejectors, forend with Anson release, receiver with reinforced barrel flanks, including lock plates engraved with fine arabesques and floral bouquets, firing pins that can be removed from the front, Purdey nose, double trigger, automatic slide tang safety, fine checkering, sling swivel removed, straight buttstock with discreet stamping „MW“ and rubber buttplate. Originally a Belgian shotgun with fine engraving. Reworked in Ferlach, probably renewed (sleeved - Böhler Rasant barrels) and with adjustment of the stock to the more common 12/70 cartridge. Vienna proof 1968 , Ferlach proof 1976. Interesting composition. The locks are reminiscent of those from Lebeau Courally (the signature on the plates on the inside is not clear). „Sigott“ can be found on the right barrel, very faded. Presumably a Belgian commission that was later further processed in Austria and finally restored.
