Except for the smallest imperfections (millimetre range) in the wood finish on the butt neck, it is in particularly good condition. A sensational masterwork and fusion of art and gunsmithing. Ennio Mattarelli was a world-famous and successful Shotgun shooter. In addition to several world championship titles, he also secured the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 - at that time with a shotgun from (Fabbri) Perazzi. For Perazzi it was the first Olympic gold and his partner at the time, Ivo Fabbri, was responsible for the development of the top shotguns. Shortly afterwards he became world famous with his own company. The present shotgun is probably a collaboration between local gunsmiths, Perazzi and the engraver Iora, who produced this shotgun for Ennio Mattarelli.
