Purdey & Sons, Audley House, South Audley Street, London, Made of Sir Joseph Withworths Fluid Pressed Steel“, metal front sight, barrel ends with gold inlays, ejectors, receiver and system parts extensively engraved, receiver, trigger guard and lever engraved primarily with arabesques, the lock plates above with scenes of wild birds, the landscape and background motifs engraved into the surface, the motifs inlaid in gold, however, raised and then engraved, resulting in an entire engraved image with an extraordinarily beautiful structure and depth, signed „Ph. Grifnee“ for the engraver who later decorated this shotgun, self-opening sidelocks with front position leaf springs, cocking indicators, interceptor sear, firing pins inserted from the front, automatic slide tang safety, gold inlaid with „Safe“, double trigger, evenly and longitudinally grained walnut stock, forend with Anson release, buttstock with straight grip, extended trigger guard, teardrop, empty stock monogram plate, cut stock end.
