The dipped edge shape of the sidelocks corresponds to the Dominion grade, introduced before the turn of the century and esteemed as one of the strongest actions made, therefore especially suited for a express rifle for dangerous game. The weapon was made in 1906 for "Jenkins" initially for the now obsolete .375 H&H Velopex cartridge and in 2003 reproofed for the later developed .375 H&H Flanged Magnum in London.
