Sidelock Double Rifle Holland & Holland - London, .375 H&H Flanged Magnum, #19329, § C

Starting price 24.000 EUR
not sold

66 cm chopper lump-barrels with third grip, inscribed with the new Bond Street address, quarter rib with express sights and two additional folding leaves, ejectors, renewed colour hardened action with back-action sidelocks, engraved with covering bold scroll, cocking indicators, disc set strikers, automatic sliding safety on the extended tang, trigger guard elongated to the steel pistol-grip cap with a trap for a spare bead, renewed burr walnut stock with finely cut chequering, oval cheekpiece and leather covered rubber recoil pad, LOP 39 cm, fore-end with Deeley latch, silver stock oval initialised "AC", Holland & Holland type mounted Zeiss Victory Varipoint 1,1-4x24 illuminated reticule, in its maker's brass cornered oak and leather case with trade label and extensive accessories. The dipped edge shape of the sidelocks corresponds to the Dominion grade, introduced before the turn of the century and esteemed as one of the strongest actions made, therefore especially suited for a express rifle for dangerous game. The weapon was made in 1906 for "Jenkins" initially for the now obsolete .375 H&H Velopex cartridge and in 2003 reproofed for the later developed .375 H&H Flanged Magnum in London. Expertly restored to mint condition 1.
