72 cm barrels with exchangeable Teague chokes (four provided), concave, engine turned rib, bar-action sidelocks with intercepting sears, internally colour hardened, externally bright brushed, disc-set strikers, third bite, side bolsters, ejectors, double triggers with articulated front trigger, French walnut straight diamond-shaped hand stock with drop points 39 cm, elongated with matching wood by 2.5 cm, leather covered recoil pad, silver stock oval initialised "IZ". Exceptionally fine, typical "Corombelle" engraving with fine English scroll background covered with rose bouquets and ribbons, on the action bottom a pedestal, personally engraved by the Belgian doyen Hyppolite Corombelle (1871-1943) and signed within the trigger guard, on the trigger guard a panel with the portrait of a griffon dog, signed "A. Gob.", made about 1935, proofed in 2015, in the left hand barrel some pitting marks, otherwise condition 2. The Maison Faure Le Page in Paris was well renowned at the turn of the century, being the purveyor to the Russian Imperial court in St. Petersburg.
