4 inch barrel, chequered walnut grips with "COLT" medallion, retaining much original blued finish. Only about 2,500 Marshal model revolvers were produced between 1954 and 1956. In essence it is an Official Police model with a rounded butt. Being so similar to the Official Police model it was destined for obsolescence making it amongst the rarest post-war Colt revolver models. Made in 1955, no proof marks, condition 2.
