63,5 cm barrels with file-cut quarter rib, doll's head fastener, extractor, bright fancy-backed Anson & Deeley boxlock with blued lockplate, border engraving and maker's name in banners with scroll, automatic sliding tang safety with gold inlaid inscription "Safe", double triggers, trigger guard elongated to the steel pistol-grip cap, well grained walnut stock with drop points, oval cheekpiece, shallow pistol-grip and horn buttplate 37 cm, fore-end with lever fastener, blank silver stock oval, 3,9 kg, year of manufacture about 1897, chambers rebored and reproofed in London 1987, barrels engraved with "regulated for 285 gr bullet" (proof targets included), rib engraved with maker's address, original sights replaced with signal bead and rear sight for driven shooting, otherwise good original condition with slight marks of use, condition 2-3.
