76 cm barrels with concave rib, third grip, inscribed with the New Bond Street address, ejectors, choked cylinder & 3/4, bright slightly rounded action engraved with fine English scroll and rose bouquets, dipped edge bar-action sidelocks and intercepting sears, automatic sliding tang safety with gold inlaid inscription "Safe", double triggers, contrasting grained walnut stock with straight hand and drop points, leather covered rubber recoil pad 37,5 cm, fore-end with Anson push-rod, blank silver stock oval, 3,1 kg, year of manufacture about 1886, condition III, on the rib and top lever inscribed with "2" as number 2 of a pair, very early Royal Hammerless Ejector with later Birmingham reproof, in a leather case with trade label of Cogswell & Harrison - London.
