TRANTER PATENT", five shot cylinder, on top of barrel inscribed with the maker's address, elaborately engraved with foliate scroll and worn full-coverage gilding, springs and trigger blade blue tempered, ivory grip, on the exchangeable cylinder for central-fire cartridges the serial number, in a case of ebonised wood profusely decorated with brass furniture in Indian style, lined with red velvet, with various accessories: powder flask (signed "W. Bartram"), bullet mould, bullet seating lever, ramrod (also to be used as cleaning rod), nipple key with ivory handle, boxes for caps and nipples, patch punch, 2 old paper cartridges by Eley, as well as the key for the case, on the inside gold embossed with the maker's address, year of manufacture about 1868, R. B. Rodda was renowned as purveyor of the Indian maharajas, gilding rubbed 50%, otherwise condition III.
