First model of the Tranter revolver, 6 inch octagonal barrel, the dealer's address "B. Cogswell - London" engraved on the top of the frame, "W. TRANTER'S PATENT" on the loading lever and on the trigger, frame, breech, loading lever and grip floral engraved. The action in need of repair, the hammer does not hold in the sear. Walnut grips with fine chequering, good, condition III.
