71 cm rifled barrels of browned horseshoe Damascus, stamped "Rigby Trade Mark" but without proof marks, flat rib, 4 folding rear sight blades 100 - 250 yds., bright action, engraved with scroll, T-bolt action with rotating underlever beneath the trigger guard, bar action hammer locks, individual safety slides for the flat dolphin-shaped hammers, left cock screw unprofessionally renewed (wobbly), double trigger, very well grained walnut stock, fore-end with wedge fastener, pistol grip, due to a beginning crack in the hand contemporarily repaired and reinforced by steel plates "type Selous", hatched steel buttplate, 37 cm, eyes for straps, silver stock oval with initial beneath - probably oriental - monarch's crown, year of manufacture before 1870, interesting and rare big game rifle in good preservation, condition III.
