Originally delivered to customers as recorded in the Holland & Holland database - name “Barwani” (suitable both as a family name and for the city and administrative district of Barwani). Holland & Holland was known for supplying high-quality hunting weapons to the Maharajas there in India. The present rifle was completed in 1927. Appropriate in time to the phase of Rana Ranjit Singh there (until around 1930). This served, among other things, for France during the First World War. In any case, the rifle was handed over to us with French diplomatic provenance. However, an exact and unambiguous attribution cannot be established in further detail. Technically, the double rifle was originally made in .350 - later changed to the common caliber 9.3x74R - according to Belgian proof.
